Facial Surgery

Eyelid Surgery, or Blepharoplasty, removes the excess fat and drooping skin of the upper eyelids, minimizing bags under the eyes and tightening the lower eyelid skin. This gives a rejuvenated appearance to the surrounding area of your eyes, making you look more rested and alert.

Face-Lifts, or Rhytidectomy, smooth and tighten the skin on the face and neck. As a result, your face will appear smoother, fresher and younger.

Surgery of the Nose, or Rhinoplasty, can reshape the size and look of your nose, the tip or the bridge. It can improve the appearance and proportion of your nose, enhancing facial harmony and self-confidence.

Forehead Lifts, or Brow Lifts, minimize the creases that develop across the forehead or those that occur high on the bridge of the nose, improve what are commonly referred to as frown lines, and reposition a low or sagging brow.

Surgery of the Ear, or Otoplasty, can reshape, set back prominent ears, or reduce the size of larger ears.

Breast Enhancement

Breast Augmentation, or Mammaplasty, is a cosmetic procedure that uses implants to enlarge and shape the breasts. This surgery can also restore breast volume lost after weight reduction or pregnancy (Breast Enhancement).

Breast Reduction, or Reduction Mammaplasty, removes excess breast fat, glandular tissue and skin to achieve a breast size in proportion with your body and to alleviate the discomfort associated with overly large breasts.

Breast Reduction for Men, or Gynecomastia, is the surgical correction of over-developed or enlarged breasts in men.

Breast Reconstruction is achieved through several plastic surgery techniques that attempt to restore a breast to near normal shape, appearance and size following mastectomy. Breast Reconstruction can be performed at the time of Mastectomy (Removal of the Breast) or at a later date.

Breast Lift, or Mastopexy, is a cosmetic procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts. This procedure can be beneficial to women whose skin has lost elasticity, shape or breast tissue, after years of pregnancy, nursing and/or the force of gravity.

Breast Reconstruction

Whether you are a patient with a new breast cancer diagnosis seeking information about immediate Breast Reconstruction, or a patient wanting information regarding delayed reconstructive surgery, it is important that you know all of your options. There are different ways that breast reconstruction can be achieved, but not every method is ideal for every patient. Reconstruction is very individualized, and because of this, we make sure that every patient is given as much time as needed with Dr. Peterson to discuss and review their individual case and all of the options for reconstruction. Dr. Peterson then works closely with the rest of the patient’s physician team to create an individualized plan that ensures the patient receives the best treatment possible. The following link is a great resource for women looking for information about breast cancer, treatment, detection and reconstruction. Please call our office with any questions.

Body Contouring

Liposuction, or Lipoplasty, slims and reshapes specific areas of the body by removing excess fat deposits, improving your body contours and proportion, and, ultimately, enhancing your self-image.

Tummy Tuck, or Abdominoplasty, removes excess fat and skin, and in most cases restores weakened or separated muscles creating an abdominal profile that is smoother and firmer. The procedure can dramatically reduce the appearance of a protruding abdomen. But it does produce a permanent scar, which, depending on each patient, can extend from hip to hip.

Arm lift, or Brachioplasty, reshapes the under portion of the upper arm, from the underarm region to the elbow.

Minimally Invasive Options

BOTOX®, the cosmetic form of botulinum toxin, is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles. It is a popular non-surgical way to reduce or eliminate frown lines, forehead creases and crow's feet near the eyes.

JUVÉDERM® XC is a smooth gel filler that is used to instantly smooth away wrinkles and restore natural contours around your mouth and nose. It is ideal for nasolabial folds (smile lines), marionette lines and vertical lip lines.

LATISSE® solution is a prescription treatment used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker and darker.

In-office Skin Care Treatments

Dermaplane is a skin resurfacing procedure that uses a special surgical blade (dermatome) to scrape away the top layer of dead epidermal cells. This controlled scraping refines the treated area by allowing the underlying layer of smooth, clear, undamaged skin to emerge. This procedure also removes all facial hair and peach fuzz in the treated areas.

Parisian Peel®, or Microdermabrasion, is a skin treatment that uses a powerful wand to deliver a spray of micro-crystals across the skin’s surface. The micro-crystals are a very fine, very hard, sand-like material that blasts away the uppermost layer of dead cells on the skin. These treatments help diminish sun damage, fine lines and enlarged pores and remove debris that can contribute to acne, resulting in fresher skin with a more glowing appearance. They also help the skin better absorb skin care products and build collagen, giving the skin a more youthful appearance.

Modified Jessner/TCA Peel is a medium-depth peel administered in-office using a technique involving layering of these two chemicals. It is been designed to penetrate the skin to reduce the appearance of brown spots, freckles and acne. It is also used to improve the appearance of aging skin by smoothing fine lines and enhancing skin tone.
